This striking mixed media work features women exuding effortless elegance and high style. One gazes directly at the viewer, her expression bold and unwavering. The other reclines slightly, partially obscured as she peers sideways and rests her chin on her hand, her demeanor contemplative, or perhaps even judgemental.
The phrase “live without regrets” appears integrated into the composition. Another phrase, “consider the alternative” invites introspective thought. Rich modeling paste and acrylic paint, applied with a palette knife, creates depth and dimension. Swaths of pink, magenta, black and white move across the canvas, blending refined beauty with raw emotion. The textured background echoes the complexity of the women’s expressions, reinforcing the theme of embracing life with courage, reflection and style.
This gallery depth piece is painted with black acrylic on the sides, giving it a modern high-fashion edge. Protective varnish and wiring make this piece ready to hang.
Mixed media on canvas, 10” x 10” x 1.5”
